Season 12 was very middle-of-the-road. It did, however, bring us Alicia mentoring and winning with Chris Blue! It also brought us one of Talent Recap’s favorite artists, Lauren Duski. However, the season as a whole wasn’t very exciting.

Carson Daly has hosted the series since the inaugural season. Alison Haislip served as the original “backstage, online and social media correspondent” and was replaced by Christina Milian. Milian did not return for season five, at which point Daly assumed the duties as the social media correspondent.
The Voice isn’t expected to return back to NBC with Season 18 and a whole new roster of contestants until February 24, 2020. “The Voice” Season 17 ended on December 17. The next season will arrive in spring 2020.
