Are NAD receivers good?

This receiver is heavy, solid and well build. Nad is considered a high-end audio company that sells a lot of high-end amplifiers, pre-amplifiers & separate components. The sound is so clean that it doesn’t sound TOO loud like other receivers at moderate to loud volume levels .

How good is NAD audio?

NAD amps are really ok if you want to hear a lot of detail, clarity and a nice bass. Personally I find NAD most of the time quite harsh. I prefer amps like the Rotel 1062,m with a less pure but more warm and relaxed sound.

It proved once again NAD could make fantastic-sounding amplifiers for an impressively affordable price. Treble and bass were impressive in their own right, but it was the clear midrange and smooth integration of all elements that ultimately won us over.

Is the NAD 71xx a good headphone amplifier?

The NAD 71xx series were very good products in their day. The amplifiers had 5 db of dynamic headroom, something that was unusual for solid state equipment then and now, so a 20 watt receiver (using FTC RMS specifications) could provide real usable dynamic peak music power of about 50 watts. These receivers also had very good phono preamps.
